Looking Forward to the 2026 WRMA Weekend
Plans are underway for WRMA's most exciting award weekend celebration yet! We'll start the celebration Thursday, October 29th, 2026, at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum in Claremore with our annual Meet & Greet. While 2026 award winners, their guests, and our sponsors can attend the event for free, unprecedented interest (and limited space!) means any additional guests will need to purchase tickets. Celebrities in attendance will include Bruce Boxleitner, Barry Corbin, Neal McDonough, and Clint Black.
We are thrilled to hold WRMA's first Craft of Writing the West Conference all day Friday, October 30, at the River Spirit Casino Resort, where you'll enjoy a variety of sessions led by award-winning authors, scholars, and even actors! Later that night Barry Corbin, Bruce Boxleitner, Neal McDonough, Rob Word, and Mason Beals will present An Evening with Will, where these talented gentlemen will read Will Rogers' most popular radio commentaries before a live studio audience. Both the conference and the radio commentary program are free and open to the public.
Finally, we will wrap up this wonderful weekend Saturday, October 31, with our annual 2026 Will Rogers Medallion Award Banquet and Ceremony at River Spirit Casino Resort. A delicious buffet will be followed by the reveal of award rankings, the presentation of medallions to our winners, and plenty of exceptional entertainment. Winners will be announced in early June so that they can begin making travel plans. Please see our Award Ceremony tab for more information on the weekend programs.

The 2026 WRMA Ceremony Weekend will be held Oct. 29-31, 2026, in Claremore and Tulsa, Oklahoma. We are excited to host the inaugural "Craft of Writing the West" Conference and "An Evening with Will," with celebrities reading Will's most popular radio commentaries. We'll also enjoy our traditional Meet & Greet at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum and the Award Dinner & Ceremony at River Spirit Hotel in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Click here for more details.
