WRMA Ceremony Weekend a Great Success!
The ceremony weekend kicked off on Thursday, October 30, with opportunities for award-winning authors to speak at schools in Tulsa and Claremore. Friday night (October 31st) we celebrated with our annual Meet & Greet held at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum. We enjoyed a catered light dinner, a keynote address from the Golden Lariat award-winning INSP channel representatives, a screening of the film "Reagan," and a question/answer period provided by the film's producer, Mark Joseph. Saturday morning (November 1st) our authors and filmmakers could be found in various locations in Tulsa and Claremore for book signings with our "Authors on the Move" program. Then attendees enjoyed a panel discussion on independent publishing, some participated in a parade in Claremore, and of course the day culminated with the WRMA Banquet and Ceremony at our host hotel, the Hard Rock Hotel Tulsa. The winners' rankings were announced during the award ceremony on November 1st. WRMA's Lifetime Achievement award was presented to Preston Lewis, and our Golden Lariat award was presented to the INSP Network. A delicious buffet dinner and a silent auction (as well as a few wonderful live auction items) topped off the evening. The 2026 WRMA Ceremony Weekend will be held Oct. 29-31, 2026, in Claremore and Tulsa, Oklahoma. We are excited to host the inaugural "Craft of Writing the West" Conference as well as our traditional Meet & Greet at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum and the Award Dinner & Ceremony at River Spirit Hotel in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
